Gaia Data Access
Gaia Data Access: these pages provide information on the developing plans for making the Gaia data available to the community. These pages are also the place where the community can input into the design process of the Gaia archive and data access systems, for instance by providing use case scenarios. (Note that you need to be registered with GREAT to see these pages as a member of the ParticipantsGroup - see GreatHome for details on how to register.)

A note on registering for the wiki:
Any user can visit these wiki pages and view them. However to actually contribute and edit the pages - you will first have to get your self a username and login to the wiki.
If you are not logged in you will see that the there is a 'login' link at the top left of the page. Once you have logged in you will see your name there and also that most wiki pages change from being immutable to having options for editing.
The process of getting a username to login needs to be done once:
You'll first have to send an email to great@ast.cam.ac.uk to say that you want to register
- You'll then get back instructions with the relevant 'passphrase' which will be required in the next step (we have implemented this procedure to reduce the number of false registrations)
Click the login button and then the link to create a user account. When doing this - you will need to create a username which is the wikiword version of your name - thus JoBloggs.
Your username will be added to the GREAT ParticipantsGroup - once this is done you then have the relevant permissions to allow editing.
